Present Indefinite Tense

موجودہ زمانے میں کسی کام کے کرنے یا ہونے کے لیےیہ ٹینس استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔

پہچان:تا ہے،تی ہے،تے ہیں،تا ہوں،تی ہوں۔مثلاٌ میں کھانا کھاتا ہوں۔

 

Helping Verb:

He, She, It, or Single Noun / Pronoun

Examples:

He works.

It rains.

Ahmad Plays cricket.

1st form of verb + S/es

 

I, We, You, They, Plural Noun / Pronoun

Examples:

I take lunch.

You go to market.

They watch t.v.

Where to Use “es”

Use “es” with verbs ending with ss, ch, sh, o, x i.e pass (passes), wash( washes), reach( reaches), go( goes).

Use of “s”

It can be used with all other verbs.

Transformations

Affirmative:

Sub V1 O

 

Interrogative:

Do/ Does Sub V1?

 

Negative:

Sub Do/ Does not V1

 

Interrogative and negative:

Do/ Does Sub Not V1?

 

Question Words

What, where, when, why, who, whose, whom, which and how.

اگر اس طرح کے الفاظ فقرے میں لگانے ہوں تو یہ فقرے کے بلکل شروع میں لکھ دیے جاتے ہیں۔

Examples.

  • Two and two make four.

Permanent Situations

Examples.

  • I live in Pakistan.
  • She lives in England.
  • Ahmad speaks Urdu.


Use_3

Habits

Use with twice a week, on Sundays, often, sometimes

Examples:

  • She takes tea twice a day.
  • They play cricket every Sunday.
  • I visit my mother every month.


Use_4

Future Timetables

Examples:

  • Our buss leaves at 1 p.m.

Use with this evening, at 10 o’clock, tomorrow.

Positive sentences
He starts a business.
Ayesha sends me a letter.
They go to market twice a week.
They buy a new car.
I take tea at night.

She sings a song

They help him.

It rains in the evening.

He wakes up early in the morning.

Zeeshan offers prayer five times a day.


Negative sentences

He does not starts business.

Ayesha  does not send me a letter.

They do not go to market twice a week.

They do not buy a new car.

I do not take tea at night.

She does not sing a song

They do not help him.

It does not rain in the evening.

He does not wake up early in the morning.

Zeeshan does not offer prayer five times a day.

Simple Sentences
